The Bushfire Fundraising Fete due to be held on Saturday 21 March 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS.

 

Gaythorne Bowls Club and Wests Mitchelton Rugby League Club are organising a Fire Fundraising Fete, as a joint venture, to raise funds for the bushfire appeal. This event has been cancelled due to Health Concerns.  

It is hoped that this Fete will be scheduled as a future event.

This event will be held at both clubs (across both grounds, next door to each other) on Saturday 21 March 2020

                                                                                           at

                                                           18 and 20 Prospect Rd, Mitchelton 4053.

 

The Fire Fundraising Fete will be from 9am until 4pm on Saturday 21 March 2020.

 

Entry for the public will be free but a gold coin donation to go to the fire appeal would be greatly appreciated.

Parking will be available in the football club Carpark off Prospect Road and in surrounding streets.

 

Organisers are planning indoor stalls in the bowls clubhouse and outdoor market stalls around the football grounds. It is anticipated that stall holders will be selling a variety of goods, as well as the standard lines of cakes and plants, etc.

Bouncy castles and other entertainment for children will be across both sites and also Come and Try Bowls on the bowls green.

It is hoped that the clubs will be able to have a fire engine, an army vehicle and some old time cars on display.

Raffles will also be on offer with many of the prizes being donated from local businesses.

 This is the first time our 2 clubs have combined to make an event such as this and it is hoped that they can provide an enjoyable day out for everyone on the day and to provide some additional funding to help people affected by the ongoing bushfires this summer season.

 

Additional Information For Stall Holders

 

Sites may be limited to availability and may be offered on first received basis, or variety of products available for sale – to be at organisers’ discretion.

 Outdoor 3m x 3m stall sites (gazebos to be weighted down, no tent pegs allowed) will be on the football grounds and are $30.00 per site.

Gazebos and tables to be provided by stall holders. Powered sites are not available and the use of generators etc by stall holders is also not permitted.

 

Indoor table stall sites are $30.00 per table and will be in the bowls clubhouse. Tables will be provided by bowls club.

Power to market tables will not be available and the use of a personal power supply to the tables is not permitted.

No additional fee, or percentage of sales will be required from the stallholders but if stallholders have a good day and elect to offer some additional funds to go into the fire appeal account that will be gratefully accepted.

Both outdoor and indoor stalls can be setup on Friday 20 March 2020 between 1pm and 4pm, or on the Saturday morning (21 March 2020) between 6.30pm and 8.30am.

However, please note that if stalls are setup on the Friday afternoon, there will be no security offered by the event organisers.

 At the moment, outdoor stall holders on the football grounds may leave their vehicles behind their sites.

However, this situation may change as the number of applications for sites becomes more clear.

Stall holders will be notified later, prior to the day, if their vehicles have to be emptied and parked in a separate designated parking area on the football grounds.

Indoor stall holders in the bowls clubhouse may park their vehicles behind the bowls clubhouse.

Please Note for safety reasons: Stall holder vehicles are to remain parked and not moved until completion of the fete at 4pm – similarly, stalls are not to be dismantled until after completion of the fete at 4pm, or as directed on the day by organisers.

 Entry for all stall holders (outdoor and indoor) will be via football club driveway off Prospect Road, Mitchelton.

 When your expression of interest for a stall site is received, you will be sent details of payment etc.

Once a stall site booking is confirmed, payment of the stall site fee is to be deposited into the bank account with a receipt of that payment being emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to assist organisers with finalising site fee payment confirmation.

 

Please Note: that both site fee payment and confirmation from organisers that same has been received must be finalised prior to 13 March 2020. Payment of site fee will not be accepted upon arrival at fete on Saturday 21 March 2020.
